have been chosen as The Labour Party Candidate to represent the Chowdene
Ward.
During the past
two years I have worked with Councillors Keith Wood and John McElroy to
help improve Chowdene.
I would like your

HOUSES SET FOR INVESTMENT
Chowdene Council
tenants are set to benefit from major investment following an independent
inspection of the Gateshead Housing Company.
Inspectors recognised
it as a ‘good company, with promising prospects’ meaning thousands of homes
will see major improvements worth up to £232 million in the next
five years. The 23,000 Council homes in Gateshead will now receive up to
£1 million a week of extra funding to make the home improvements,
after receiving a 'two star' rating.
The improvements
include new kitchens, bathrooms, rewiring and new windows. Other improvements
to hundreds of extra homes will be possible from early next year
NEW SCHOOL
Work is due to start
soon on the new building to house Harlow Green Primary School on the existing
junior school site
Preparations are
well under way for the new school with a temporary governing body established
and a new head teacher appointed.
It’s hoped the infants
school site will house a children’s centre.
